An evening of live entertainment in an historic Shropshire church is set to bring 21st century music to a stunning 14th century venue.

St Mary’s Church in Sheriffhales, near Shifnal, will host Doves keyboard player Martin Rebelski on Friday, December 5 for an intimate and atmospheric concert including tracks from his new album Monochrome

The live event is a return visit by the Peter Hook and the Light artist, who last year thrilled audiences in St Mary’s with a ‘mesmerising’ performance of his acclaimed album Simplicity.

Martin will be supported on the night by DJ James Hindley, who will be setting the ambient vibes.

St M’s presents is an not-for-profit promoter and organiser, Peter Bonsall, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Martin back to St Mary’s, and very proud that such an acclaimed artist will again be showcasing the work we’ve done inside the church aimed at enhancing live performances of any kind”.

“The evening is set to be a heady mix of 21st century music from Martin and James, but in the quite unique setting of our beautiful, 14th century church and we are all looking forward to it very much.”

Tickets are £23 available from Skiddle.com or you can pay on the night. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and there will be a licensed bar.

Proceeds from St M’s Presents events will go towards the upkeep of this historic church so that it can be enjoyed by all.
