Firefighters tackle early morning vehicle blaze

Firefighters were called out in the early hours of Monday morning to deal with a vehicle fire in Hayward Avenue, Donnington in Telford.

One crew from Wellington station was mobilised after a call to SFRS Fire Control at 1:40 am, reporting a car fire.

The incident involved an electrical fire within the engine compartment of a car.

Crews quickly extinguished the blaze using a hosereel jet while wearing breathing apparatus.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check the vehicle for any remaining hotspots before the stop message was received at 1:56 am.
