Life-saving German treatment needed for Telford Mum

A fundraising campaign for Telford Mum of of four hits £10,000 and a lifesaving trip to Germany is in reach.

Thousands of pounds have been raised for Liza Davies, a 43-year-old mother and makeup artist, who is facing an aggressive recurrence of breast cancer and urgently needs to travel abroad for revolutionary treatment.

The family from Telford is desperate to raise £33,000 for the private immunotherapy not available on the NHS.

Liza has been diagnosed with stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes. This is the second time she has fought the disease, having first been diagnosed when she was just 30.

“I put on a brave face… I have to – we have four kids,” Liza shared.

With limited options in the UK, Liza is trying to reach a clinic in Germany for treatment she hopes will prevent the cancer from returning. She stated that the immunotherapy treatment has shown success even in stage-4 cases.

Liza recently shared after her first chemotherapy session that, if she can fund the German treatment, she “will only need an injection and can bypass chemo and hopefully live a happy, fulfilling life.”

So far, over £10,000 has been raised via a GoFundMe page, but the overall treatment is estimated to cost up to £33,000, which is well beyond what her family can afford.

Liza is pleading for support to help reach the target, stating: “No donation is too small… I’d genuinely not be asking if we had the money. All I want is to see my children grow up and hopefully some grandchildren.”
