Barratt Homes boost Mayors fundraiser by £1000

Barratt Homes invited Councillor Eileen Callear to visit its Scarlet View and Silkin Meadows developments, where the Mayor was given a guided tour of the show homes whilst discussing the latest construction progress.

Set to deliver 135 homes, Scarlet View is located on Proctor Avenue in Lawley, while Silkin Meadows, home to 104 properties upon completion, is located on Queensway in Apley.

Cllr Eileen Callear said: “I am delighted to see Barratt Homes investing in Telford with new affordable housing. These homes provide a fantastic opportunity for everyone, and especially for young people in our borough taking their first steps onto the housing ladder. Developments like this strengthen our community and make Telford an even better place to live. And let’s be honest-the homes are absolutely stunning!”

Following the visit, the housebuilder donated £1,000 to the Mayor’s fundraiser for her two chosen charities, PODS (Parents Opening Doors) and Hilbrae Rescue Kennels.

As part of the exciting developments in Telford, Barratt Homes has placed energy efficiency and ecology at the heart of the designs. The two, three and four bedroom properties across both neighbourhoods are built using sustainable construction methods, and the wildlife-friendly features onsite enable residents to live side-by-side with nature.

A short drive to Telford also gives residents the choice of a wide range of high street shops and restaurants.

“We enjoyed the opportunity to provide an insight into our plans and the fantastic communities that are taking shape in Lawley and Apley.”

Scarlet View currently has three and four bedroom properties available with prices starting from £264,995. In a well-connected setting, it brings house hunters within reach of the picturesque countryside on their doorstep.

Silkin Meadows also has three and four bedroom homes available from £299,995, with woodland walks in proximity and easy access to a wide range of amenities and excellent travel links.
