Car crashes near Costa

Emergency services were called to the Coopers Mill traffic island in Wellington following a collision involving a single vehicle this morning.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received the report at 9:28am on Wednesday, 31 December, after a grey Mercedes struck a roadside barrier.

One fire appliance from the Wellington station attended the scene to assist.

Firefighters confirmed that no one was trapped inside the car.

The crew used small gear to make the vehicle safe before finishing their work at the scene.

A stop message was sent back to control at 9:42am and the vehicle was recovered just after 2pm this afternoon.
