Carol-oke is coming to Southwater

On Thursday 11 December from 5.15pm there will be music in the air as people are invited to come along and join in a festive sing-along in the build up to Christmas.

Carol-oke will be taking place with stage and lights ready for people to shine and take part in some festive tunes.  An opportunity for people to come along, gather around, take part and enjoy a sing-along plus mince pies and hot drinks available.

Councillor Angela McClements, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture and the Arts, said: “We are delighted to be hosting our first Carol-oke! We are looking forward to an evening of festive fun, people coming together and joining in the singing!

“It’s an important time of year to make memories with friends and families, so if you are out and about shopping in Southwater on Thursday 11 December or coming down specially to join in, we look forward to seeing you there!”

Carol-oke will be taking place in Southwater from 5.30pm and people are welcome to get together from 5.15pm as there will be hot drinks and mince pies on sale.

Various local talent acts will be part of the line-up on the evening which will go on until 7pm. There will be collection boxes on site for the mayor’s charities PODs (Parents Opening Doors) and Hilbrae Rescue Kennels.
