Donnington couple smashes target, raising over £61,000 for Severn Hospice

A local couple from Donnington, are being hailed as community heroes after their latest fundraising effort pushed their lifetime total past an incredible milestone.

Ian and Donna have now raised an astonishing £61,000 for the Severn Hospice, thanks to years of dedication and community support.

Their most recent event, a festive Christmas Fayre, was a massive success, exceeding all expectations. The couple had set a target of £1,000 for the day, hoping to reach the £60,000 mark. However, thanks to huge support from the whole community, they raised over £2,000, meaning their cumulative total now stands at over £61,000.

The festive fayre offered something for everyone, featuring Christmas crafts, a popular raffle, and plenty of delicious cakes and coffee.

A spokesperson for the Severn Hospice expressed deep gratitude: “Ian and Donna are incredible supporters of ours, and to date have raised an astonishing £61,000 for our care! What a fab couple, and we are so grateful to them for their wonderful support. Thank you, Donna and Ian.”
