EP driver crashes into trees

Emergency services were called to the A442 Queensway in Telford on Friday afternoon following a collision involving a single vehicle.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the incident at 16:40. Two fire appliances from the Telford station were sent to the scene, accompanied by an operations officer.

Upon arrival, crews found that a car had collided with street furniture. Firefighters worked at the scene for around half an hour to ensure the area was safe.

An eyewitness told Telford Live that the car had ended up in the trees by the side of the road.

The scene was cleared and a stop message was sent back to control at 17:15. There are no reports of any serious injuries at this time.
