New shop coming to New St in Wellington

A store promising inspiring gifts and African foods is moving into New St in Wellington.

The store will occupy the old McColls unit, that has been empty since 2022, and the owners say that the African Salopian will have a grand opening on 3rd Jan, 2026.

The owners say that you will find “all your favourite spices, sauces, seasoning, rice, garri under one roof.”

Inside, the flooring has been painted, freezers and  shelving installed as they prepare for their opening day.

In other news, there is a new business moving into the old huge B&M store that are sworn to secrecy about!
