A busy morning for Fire and Rescue across Telford

Fire crews have been kept busy following a series of callouts across the town.

Firefighters from the Wellington station were first alerted to a car fire on Sommerfield Road late on Thursday night. One appliance attended the scene at around 11.30pm where they found a vehicle fully destroyed by the flames.

The incidents continued into Friday morning as a crew from Shrewsbury was mobilised to Walcot just after 9am. A vehicle had come to rest on its side and firefighters worked to get it back onto four wheels.

Shortly before 10am, another call required assistance in Priorslee. A crew from Telford Central attended a collision involving a vehicle and a diesel generator. Firefighters worked at the scene to make the vehicle electrically safe.
