Car crashes into van on housing estate

A small car crashed into a security van in Leegomery this afternoon, with police closing access to a main road through the estate in order to deal with the problem.

The crash happened at around 2pm on Leegate Avenue between Clematis Drive and the mini island. Access was restricted by police from Leegomery Roundabout during the incident.

The ten-year old blue Skoda Fabia suffered damage to the front of the car, while the grey Berlingo van was hit on the front drivers wing.

Police were in attendance to deal with the traffic and the drivers. No one was seriously hurt in the incident.
