Cat rescued from Madeley kitchen fire
A cat was rescued and given oxygen by firefighters after a kitchen fire broke out at a property on Park Lane in Madeley this morning.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 11:46 on Saturday, 24 January, following reports of a fire at the domestic address.
Two fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central, with an operations officer also in attendance.
Crews used breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire in the kitchen.
Firefighters successfully rescued the pet and administered oxygen at the scene.
A stop message was received at 12:13, confirming the incident was under control.
