Drivers ignoring road closure that could last 40 days
Hadley Park Road is closed for up to 40 days while new crossings are installed, but not all drivers are getting the message.
Access to Hadley Park Road road from Leegomery Island ends at the right turn near the Malt Shovel pub and to road is closed to vehicles just after Honeysuckle Close.
If you want to go to any streets further along Hadley Park Road, or Hadley Business Park, you will need to access from the other direction (off Leegate Avenue) – there is no other other way round.
Balfour Beatty on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council are working on the crossings with an end date set for Friday 13th February 2026.

Please have the intelligence to publish a map showing EXACTLY where the closure (works) is/are so that people needing access to premises along Hadley Park Road know how far they can get from each end.
It’s lacking this information that is causing drivers to ignore the signs as they don’t know how far along the road they can gain access to.
Is the information on Google maps correct, if so why don’t you publish the same, https://www.google.com/maps/@52.7120211,-2.4917118,332m/data=!3m1!1e3!5m1!1e1?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MTIwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
Why so rude, Rod?
