Firefighters tackle car fire on the M54

Emergency services were called to the M54 eastbound at Junction 5 in Telford following reports of a vehicle fire.

The alarm was raised at 16:50 on Wednesday afternoon.

One fire appliance from the Telford Central station attended the scene to find a single car on fire. Firefighters used a hose reel jet while wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.

Officers from the Highways Agency were also in attendance to assist with the incident.
