Six charged with Telford kidnap due in court
Six men who were charged in connection with a kidnapping that occurred in Telford last month (December) are due to appear in court.
The charges are in relation to an incident on Monday 29 December 2025, where a 21-year-old man was taken from an address in Telford. The victim suffered a number of injuries during the incident and is being supported by specialist officers.
The following men have all been charged with kidnap, and are due to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday 29 January):
- Jawad Hussain, aged 20, of Windsor Road in Arleson, Telford
- Shariq Raza, aged 20, of Span Meadow in Wellington, Telford.
- Haider Ali, aged 22, of Mongomery Road in Wellington, Telford.
- Ehteshan Hussain, aged 22, of John Broad Avenue in Arleson, Telford
- Faheem Chohan, aged 23, of Windsor Road in Arleson, Telford
- Shayyan Hussain, aged 24, of John Broad Avenue in Arleson, Telford
The men previously appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday 1 January, where there were remanded in custody,
Two men, aged 29 and 51, who were also arrested on suspicion of kidnap have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
