Telford TGI Fridays closes for good
The lights have gone out at TGI Fridays in the Southwater area of Telford as the restaurant closed its doors for the last time.
A notice from the official receivers was posted on the door confirming the business is no longer trading.
Auctioneers have already begun clearing out the stock and the fixtures and fittings from the unit.
The restaurant has been a part of the Southwater development since it was first built, an anchor brand to bring other brands in.
Around 25 staff members were informed this morning that they no longer have jobs.
They now join around 50 staff at Ironbridge Gorge Museums who are currently under redundancy notice.
Some residents have suggested the restaurant was rarely busy or that the food was not very good, but the ownership of the group has been in turmoil for some time.
