Vape in toilet triggers Southwater fire alarm
Emergency services were called to TGI Fridays in Southwater Town Centre, Telford, on Sunday evening following reports of a fire alarm.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 9.01pm and sent one fire appliance from the Telford Central station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the activation was a false alarm caused by someone vaping in the toilets.
Firefighters remained on the scene for around 12 minutes before sending their stop message at 9.13pm.
In another incident, 2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington to Pool Meadow in Hadley.
This incident was a false alarm caused by a deodorant being used under detector head.
