Work at hospital limits car parking spaces

Work has officially started on a new solar canopy car park at the Princess Royal Hospital this week. The project is part of a long-term plan to create more modern facilities and sustainable health services for the people of Telford.

Hospital bosses say the investment will allow the site to generate its own clean power while creating a better environment for both patients and staff.

To help manage the building work, a temporary transport scheme has been launched in partnership with Above and Beyond taxis. If there are no spaces at the hospital, patients and staff can travel for free between the hospital and the SaTH Park & Ride spaces at Telford AFC.

The parking area is located at the football club on Watling Street, directly opposite the fire station.

The free taxi and minibus service is running from Monday to Friday this week between 8.30am and 6.30pm. A minibus will be stationed at the club throughout the day.

If the bus is not waiting when you arrive, you can call 07472 613463 to arrange your free transport to or from the hospital.
