Historic Wrockwardine Wood pub to host charity fundraiser

The Bulls Head in Wrockwardine Wood has announced its first major fundraising event of the year. The pub is inviting the community to gather on Sunday 1st March 2026 to raise money for two vital causes.

The event will support the Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK. Organisers say these are two charities that are very close to their hearts. Both staff and customers have seen their own relatives affected by these health conditions.

What is happening?

The day is split into two parts. The afternoon focuses on family fun, while the evening brings a party atmosphere:

  • 2pm – 5pm: Family Fund Day including vendors, stalls, and a raffle.
  • 6pm – 10pm: Entertainment featuring a disco, karaoke, and a singing competition.

Prizes to be won

A raffle will be held to boost the fundraising total. Local businesses have already stepped up to donate prizes.

The current prize list includes:

  • £100 voucher for Smash Rooms.
  • £20 jewellery gift voucher.
  • 50% off nails and lashes voucher.
  • Yankee candles, chocolates, and more.

A spokesperson for the pub stated: “This is more than just an event; it’s about coming together as a village to support those who need it most, while keeping the heart of our historic pub beating strong for future generations.”

The event is open to everyone. Dogs are welcome if they are kept on a lead.
