Free Kids activities this Easter
This year’s Easter sessions will run from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April and include a wide range of activities designed to keep children active, engaged and supported during the school break.
More than 50 sessions are planned and include Easter egg hunting, craft sessions, football camps, sports sessions, forest fun, art sessions and much more.
Sessions are open to children and young people from Reception to Year 11 who are eligible for income-related free school meals. Each child can take part in two full- day activities or four half-day sessions during the holidays.
A healthy meal is provided at every session, and many activities are accessible and suitable for children and young people with SEND.
The programme is organised by Telford and Wrekin Council and funded through the Department for Education’s Holiday Activities and Food programme.
Councillor Shirley Reynolds, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People, Education, Employment and Skills, said: “We are pleased to once again offer a fantastic range of sessions planned this Easter to help keep children and young people active and having fun during the school holidays
“These sessions give children the chance to try new activities, spend time with friends and stay active, while also supporting families during the holidays.
“We are grateful to our partners and local providers who continue to help us deliver a varied and high-quality programme across the borough.
“I’d also encourage families to take part in our 10 by 10 activities during the holidays, from learning to ride a bike, visiting the library and seeing the seaside.
Parents and carers are encouraged to book early, as places can fill quickly.
