Hadley man sentenced for three counts of assault in Telford

A 22-year-old man from Hadley has appeared before magistrates to be sentenced following three separate reports of assault by beating in Telford.

Robert Stirk, of Bevan Close, appeared at Telford Magistrates’ Court on 6 March 2026 to face the charges related to incidents occurring in early 2024.

The court heard that on 18 February 2024, Stirk assaulted three men by beating them. Stirk had previously entered guilty pleas for the offences, which were taken into account during the sentencing process.

Magistrates handed down a community order which is set to run until 5 March 2027. As part of this order, Stirk is required to complete 110 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He must also participate in a rehabilitation activity for a maximum of 15 days, following any instructions provided by his responsible officer.

In addition to the community order, a restraining order was granted to protect one of the victims. Stirk is prohibited from contacting him by any means, either directly or indirectly, until 5 March 2027.

Stirk was ordered to pay costs of £400 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £114. A collection order was made, with the total amount to be paid in full by 3 April 2026.
