Telford Town FC Champions Community Spirit with Charity Matches
Telford Town Football Club continues to strengthen its commitment to charity and community engagement, following its recent support of England Hockey’s fundraiser last weekend. With philanthropy at the heart of its values, the club is proud to announce its upcoming Jamie Locke Memorial Game on Sunday, 25th May, kicking off at 12:00 PM, in aid of Diabetes UK at the Key Worker Stadium.
The match will honor the memory of Jamie Locke, bringing together players, supporters, and the local community to raise funds for a cause close to many hearts. This event further solidifies Telford Town FC’s dedication to making a meaningful impact beyond the pitch.
Speaking on the club’s commitment to charity, Chairman Hayden Dando said:
“Supporting charities, fundraisers, and our local community is an essential part of who we are as a club. Football has the power to unite people, and we are honored to use our platform to raise awareness and much-needed funds for causes that matter. The Jamie Locke Memorial Game is a perfect example of how we can come together and make a real difference.”
Nick Locke, U10s Manager/Coach at Telford Town FC, who is organising the match in memory of his brother, added:
“This game is not only a tribute to Jamie but also a way to give back to the community and support a vital cause. Diabetes UK is an organisation that means a lot to many of us, and I know Jamie would be proud of the impact we’re making together. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the club, players, and everyone involved.”
In addition to the match, there will be a charity raffle with exciting prizes, allowing attendees to further contribute to the fundraising efforts.
The club encourages fans, businesses, and local supporters to come along, contribute, and celebrate the spirit of giving through football.
