Local hotel manager named as bike crash victim
Dean Harris, 25, food and beverage manager at the Mercure Hotel in Telford Centre has been named as the motorcyclist who crashed on the A442 earlier this week.
Friends of Dean, a keen motorcyclist, have set up a page to raise funds for him and his mum to tide them over.
The page says “Yesterday 4th June Dean, a keen motorcyclist, was involved in a serious Road Traffic Accident involving multiple other vehicles.
“He was airlifted by the amazing guys and girls of The Midlands Air Ambulance to Stoke-on-Trent Royal Hospital for emergency treatment.
“After assessment , Dean was found to be suffering from a wide range of injuries, the most serious of which is the severing of his spinal cord.
“It is Dean’s 25th Birthday today 5th June. Although still receiving round-the-clock care in ICU, the sad conclusion is that he will suffer lifelong paralysis of his lower body.
“Our hearts go out to Dean, his family and all his friends.”
