A once loved local for many ‘The Priors Lodge’ has a new identity

As we see the work beginning on The Priors Lodge set to be the new Hickories we reminisce about what the lodge gave us over the years. 

It offered a fun and family friendly environment, with many regulars drinking the same pint and ordering the same dirty fries. It was considered a safe place for the residents of Priorslee where many would go in for a cheeky beer or stop for tea with the kids. Some may even call it home. It acted as the community hub where it offered something for all. Whether you like some cheesy chips or a huge whole loaf chip butty. It was quick, warm and welcoming.

Will the change be a good one for Telford? Or will we miss our old Lodge?

As we say goodbye to The Priorslee, we welcome a new and exciting change. Hickorys is known for its famous American smokehouse style food. Their journey began on a trip across America where the idea of bringing the messy smoked BBQ style grub to the UK was made.

Just as it has done in Chester and Shrewsbury, Hickory’s is inviting, unique and authentic, creating a different experience on each visit. This widens Telford’s variety in places to visit for just a drink or food too.

For those of you dreaming about those southern fried chicken strips or even those memphis style baby back ribs and just can’t wait for the opening in late September, then get yourselves over to Shrewsbury and indulge in the ‘Go Big or Go Home’ burger.
