Remember this drone? We found the owner!

It took less than 24hrs to reunite this stolen drone kit with it’s rightful owner. Drone pilot Steve found the case and its contents near Priorslee. Lost drones are normally found on their own, not in a case with controller and spares, so Steve thought this may have been stolen.

Steve reported the serial number to DJI, the manufacturers. DJI matched the number to the account created and emailed the owner, but after a couple of weeks they heard nothing back.

It was then Steve turned to Telford Live to see if we could find the owner, not mentioning some of the distinctive contents to ensure the drone was handed over to the right person.

The next day, Andrew, the owner got in touch after his partner saw the Facebook post, and that evening they were reunited.

Andrew told Telford Live “I’ve been checking market place daily hoping to see it for sale but had given up.”
