Lilleshall will be bus-free until 4th August

Arriva have announced that the 5A and 102 buses will be diverted due to roadworks in the village which will close Church Road.

The changes also coincide with the new timetable launch.

Service 5a will be unable to serve Lilleshall between 21 July – 4 August and will divert as follows –

Towards Newport – Normal line of route along Wellington Road to the junction of Lilyhurst Road. The service will then continue along Wellington Road to the junction with the A518 Wellington Road. The service will operate along the A518 Wellington Road rejoining normal line of route from The Woodlands Bus Stop just after The Red House.

Towards Muxton – Normal line of route to the traffic island with Limekiln Lane then onto A518 Wellington Road before turning off onto Wellington Road and rejoining normal line of route just after the Lilyhurst Road junction.

Closest stops for Lilleshall residents for service 5a – The Woodlands or Sutherland Drive.

Service 102 will service Lilleshall in part and will divert as follows –

Towards Newport – Normal line of route to Church Road Lilleshall. The service will operate as far as Church Meadow before diverting by returning back along Church Road, Lilyhurst Road, Wellington Road, A518 Wellington Road rejoining normal line of route from The Woodlands Bus Stop just after The Red House.

Towards Muxton – Normal line of route to the traffic island with Limekiln Lane then onto A518 Wellington Road before turning off onto Wellington Road, Lilyhurst Road, Church Road as far as Church Meadow. The vehicle will then turn and resume normal line of route.

Closest stops for Lilleshall residents along sections not served during the closure for service 102 – St Michaels Church or The Woodlands.
