Even bigger screen for Lionesses final

Football fever is set to grip Telford Town Park this Sunday, 27 July, as the QEII Arena prepares to screen the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Final. England, fresh from their dramatic win over Italy on Tuesday, will face Spain, and residents are invited to cheer on the Lionesses together.

To ensure everyone gets a prime view of the action, Telford & Wrekin Council is installing an even bigger screen for the occasion. The 10m x 6m display will be the centrepiece for the live broadcast, with pre-match coverage starting at 4pm ahead of the 5pm kick-off.

Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure, Tourism, Culture & the Arts, shared her excitement. “Let’s get ready for an exciting Sunday as we build up to watch England in the final on the giant screen at Telford Town Park!” she said.

“We’re thrilled to offer this opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and cheer on our Lionesses. Bring along your friends and family, pack a picnic, and soak up the atmosphere. There will be bars and refreshments available on site, so don’t miss out!”
