Violent abuser from Malinslee jailed

A man who subjected two of his ex-partners to horrific domestic violence has been sent to prison for seven years. Arron Moss, who lived on Prince Charles Crescent, received the custodial sentence at Shrewsbury Crown Court after admitting to eight domestic offences.

The 34-year-old’s crimes came to light after a woman called 999 for help in November 2024. Detectives began an investigation, which uncovered a history of incidents involving Moss and the victim.

It was also discovered that he had previously pled guilty in September 2024 to crimes against a different woman. The charges from that case included controlling and coercive behaviour, two counts of actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation and criminal damage.

For the November 2024 incident, Moss was further charged with 10 offences before pleading guilty to three counts of actual bodily harm in May 2025. The remaining charges were dropped.

The eight offences for which Moss was sentenced were:

  • Controlling and coercive behaviour
  • Five counts of actual bodily harm
  • Non-fatal strangulation
  • Criminal damage

Detective Constable Izzy Broxton said: “Moss subjected both his victims to horrific domestic violence, in one of the worst cases we have seen.”

She added: “Thanks to the bravery of both his victims coming forward and supporting our investigation it led to this dangerous offender being given a custodial sentence. The fear of violence these women have had to live with is unimaginable, and we hope today’s result gives them the opportunity to move forward with their lives knowing Moss is in prison.”
