Mountain Warehouse to open new Telford store

​Mountain Warehouse is set to open a new store at Forge Retail Park in Telford, taking over the unit previously occupied by Poundland. 

The move follows a company-wide push to open more of its larger format stores in out-of-town retail parks across the UK.

​Poundland recently closed its doors at the Forge Retail Park on 19 July as part of a restructuring plan, leaving the unit available for the outdoor clothing and equipment retailer. 

Previously, Mountain Warehouse customers would have had to shop online or go to Wolverhampton to buy their products.

​The new store will offer a wide range of clothing and equipment for activities such as hiking, camping and skiing. 

It is expected to create new jobs and provide another option for local shoppers looking for outdoor gear.
