Shropshire Warriors Return to the National Basketball League – First Home Game October 4th.
The Shropshire Warriors are back in action this season as they make their highly anticipated return to semi-professional basketball in the National Basketball League Division 3, after an 8 year hiatus, with the team last competing in the 2017/2018 season.
The Warriors will host their first home game on Saturday, October 4th at 4:00pm, taking place at Telford College Sports Hall, Haygate Road, TF1 2NP – and the club is calling on the local community to come down, cheer loudly, and be part of the action.
After years of building basketball from the grassroots up, the Warriors are once again stepping onto the national stage. The team combines seasoned experience with exciting young talent, and they are ready to showcase fast-paced, high-energy basketball for fans across Shropshire.
“This is more than just a game for us – it’s the start of a new era for the Warriors,” said Martin Lansley, club chairman. “We want everyone in the community to feel part of the journey. Whether you’ve been a supporter for years or your brand new to basketball, we’d love to see you in the stands.”
The Warriors’ return promises family-friendly entertainment, an electric atmosphere, and the chance to witness one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports at a national competition level.
