Toby is back in town

The Toby Carvery at Shawbirch has reopened its doors following a much-anticipated refurbishment, welcoming back hungry customers keen for their roast fix.

The venue has had a fresh makeover, with a new interior décor, a lick of paint outside, and even the removal of the tree that had taken root in the chimney. The updated look was clearly drawing in the crowds, with the car park looking busy throughout the day.

The new-look carvery officially opened at 11:30am yesterday, with local singer Callum Doignie providing live entertainment for diners and helping to create a celebratory atmosphere for the relaunch.

For many families, the Shawbirch Toby Carvery is a familiar spot for Sunday lunches and mid-week meals, so the refurbishment has been warmly welcomed. Early reports from customers on social media praised the brighter, cleaner feel of the restaurant, while staff seemed just as pleased to be serving in the updated surroundings.

The restaurant’s team also reminded us all in a Facebook post that it’s now only 100 days until Christmas – thanks for that.
