Allscot Meads One Stop shop IS coming

It’s good news for the residents of Allscot Meads who are currently without a local shop.

At last weeks  Wrockwardine Parish Council meeting, the chair informed the councillors that the promised One Stop convenience store had cancelled their plans to open a new store.

There were plans to bring One Stop to one of the currently vacant retail development within the new Allscot Meads housing estate.

Speaking to Telford Live after the meeting, Cllr Cooper expressed his disappointment when he told Telford Live that it was vital that an anchor tenant moves into one of the units to help build confidence for other potential tenants to open their shops.

Allscot Meads is right on the very edge of Telford, and a housing estate that was built on the site of the old sugar beet processing factory.

We contacted One Stop to find out why the planned store had been pulled, only to be told that the new One Stop is still on the cards and due to open early in the new year.
