Smash and grab at Cash Converters

A raid on a Telford pawn shop saw a window smashed and and a thief run off with a handful of goods from the display.

At around 3:30pm today, police were called to Cash Converters in Wellington where the raid took place.

An eyewitness told Telford Live that someone was repeatedly hitting the window until it smashed, before reaching in and taking a handful of something.

They then ran up New Street and disappeared in the direction of the bus station.

Police attended the incident shortly afterwards, and have been asked for a comment.
