A man has been arrested after an estimated £100,000 worth of class A drugs was discovered.

The arrest was made yesterday morning (Thursday 4 December) by Telford Central SNT at an address on Jim Hicks Drive in Stirchley.

Officers discovered a large quantity of class A, and class B drugs. It is estimated the class A drugs hold a street value of around £100,000.

A man, aged 49, was arrested at the address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and remains in police custody as enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Andy Pond said: “Today we have successfully seized drugs off the streets of Telford, and one man has been arrested. He remains in custody and is helping us with enquiries.

“We will continue to act on intelligence given to us as drugs have no place in our communities.”
