Not again: Leegomery bus stop defaced

The painted bus stop on Grainger Avenue was once again attacked by vandals last night.

Artist Neil Willis had repainted the shelter after it was defaced with white paint and a roller last month, but reports from residents today suggested that the shelter had been attacked again.

We went down to take a look this afternoon. This time, what looks like engine oil has been thrown on the mural overnight, as it comes off when touched.

It’s still a mystery who is behind the attacks, with locals on Facebook suggesting that CCTV be used to try to identify those involved.
