Fire crews tackle 4×4 blaze

Firefighters were called to Cockshutt Lane in Broseley on Tuesday evening following reports of a vehicle fire.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly before 7pm to find a 4×4 vehicle well alight. One fire appliance was mobilised from Tweedale to deal with the incident.

Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to tackle the flames, which were successfully contained to the engine bay.

West Mercia Police were also in attendance at the scene. A stop message was received by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service at 7:29pm once the vehicle had been made safe.
