Old B&M store in Wellington gets new tenants
It was a huge 10,000sq ft retail space in Wellington that had been a Kwik Save and a B&M shop but now it’s been repurposed.
Work started in November to prepare the huge unit for the new tenants and they have finally gone public with the news.
The new Old School Jim’s (OSJ) gym will open here early in 2026.
Old School Jims Telford is the first franchise for the Newcastle based firm.
Owner Matt, who is deeply passionate about training and his wellbeing, has always dreamed of owning his own gym.
Together with Jess, they knew they wanted to build a business that reflected their shared values, and they told Telford Live that franchising felt like the ideal route.
Jess said “Choosing OSJ’s was an easy decision — Matt regularly trains there himself, despite it being an hour’s drive from Telford.
“The gym will feature a carefully selected range of premium bodybuilding equipment from top brands, mirroring the quality OSJ’s is known for.”
“It will also include a dedicated posing practice room, a welcoming reception area with seating for members to relax before or after their workouts, modern changing and toilet facilities, and an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to train.”
The gym will open until 10pm 7 days a week and should be open for business in March.
