One person rescued after M54 central reservation crash

Emergency services were called to the M54 westbound in Telford earlier today following a single-car collision.

The incident happened at around 1.25pm when a red BMW saloon car hit the central reservation just past J4.

Five fire appliances, including a specialist rescue tender, were sent to the scene from Telford Central and Wellington.

Firefighters worked alongside the Land Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police to assist those involved.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that one casualty was left in the care of paramedics.

Crews remained at the scene for around twenty minutes before a stop message was sent to control at 1.48pm.
