Fire crews called to Christmas tree blaze in Wellington

Wellington fire crews were called to an incident in Telford yesterday.

Fire control received reports of a fire in the open at Croft Gardens at 15:18. One fire appliance was sent to the scene from the Wellington station.

Upon arrival, crews discovered the fire involved a Christmas tree being burnt in a BBQ. The fire was already out when the crew arrived.

Firefighters took no further action. The incident was officially recorded as a false alarm with good intent.

The stop message was received at 15:33.
