Telford man sentenced for Christmas Day knife threat
A Wellington man has been sentenced following a violent confrontation on Christmas Day.
Jordan Haseldine, 30, appeared before Telford Magistrates’ Court on 16 February.
The court heard that the incident took place on 25 December 2024 at a private property in Hadley. Haseldine, of Glebe Street, Wellington, unlawfully and intentionally threatened another man with a knife.
Haseldine pleaded guilty to threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a private place.
The court issued a community order which will run until March 2027. Under the terms of the order, Haseldine must complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity.
A fine of £120 was imposed, taking his guilty plea into account. He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
