Emergency crews called to Longdon-upon-Tern collision

A person has been rescued from their vehicle this morning following a road traffic collision near Wellington.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Longdon-upon-Tern at 08:53. Two fire appliances from the Wellington station attended the incident. An operations officer was also in attendance.

Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle that had come to rest in a ditch. Firefighters used small gear to assist one person from the car.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police were also on the scene. Fire crews worked to make the vehicle safe before finishing their duties.

The rescue tender from Wellington was also mobilised to provide specialist support during the operation.
