Cordon lifted: No explosives found at Apley home
Police have announced that a precautionary cordon at a property in Saxon Court in Apley has now been lifted.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team attended the address around 9.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 3 March) after officers located suspected explosive devices.
The 100m cordon was lifted around midnight after the EOD Team established that the items were not explosive. Residents were then able to return home.
A scene guard remains in place at the property as officers will be carrying out further enquiries over the coming days.
