Firefighters called to bus fire in Madeley

Emergency services were called to Madeley yesterday evening following reports of a vehicle fire involving a bus.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received the alert at 18:19 on Saturday, 14 March. Two appliances were dispatched from the Telford Central station to the scene on Ironbridge Road.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a small fire located within the engine compartment of the vehicle.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, while two personnel wearing breathing apparatus stood by as a precaution.

West Mercia Police were also in attendance at the scene to assist.
