Residents across Telford and Wrekin are being urged to share their views on new planning and licensing rules designed to improve the standards of shared housing.

The council is looking to introduce an Article 4 Direction and additional licensing to help manage Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). Under current rules, only HMOs with five or more people require a license, and those with six people or fewer often don’t need planning permission.
