Up to 50 Jobs to go at Ironbridge museums

Telford Live has learned that around 50 staff members are likely to be made redundant from their roles at Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.

The news comes after a grant of £9 million from the government was announced to help with the transfer of the organisation to the National Trust to secure the long-term future of the historic locations.

Mark Pritchard MP said: “The NHS says it is waiting for EHRC guidance, but it is the Equality Act that organisations must comply with, and the position in law has already been made crystal clear by the Supreme Court judgment.

“To ensure safety and privacy, in particular for women and girls, single sex spaces must be protected in NHS hospitals and other NHS facilities.”
