Village Grill and Dessert competition rules

Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter: The promoter of this competition is Telford-Live.com, based in Telford.

2. The Competition: The competition is for one person to win the value of their takeaway order from Village Grill and Dessert, Ketley, Telford, up to a maximum value of £45.

3. How to Enter:
a. To enter, participants must place an order with Village Grill and Dessert in Ketley.
b. Participants must then leave a comment on the designated Facebook post containing their order number and a guess as to what they believe is the best-selling item from the Village Grill and Dessert menu.
c. Entries are valid for orders placed between 3pm on 19th Sept 2025 and 11pm on 20th Sept 2025.
d. Only one entry is permitted per order number. Participants who place multiple orders during the competition period are entitled to multiple entries, with a valid order number for each comment.

4. Eligibility:
a. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Telford-Live.com or Village Grill and Dessert, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
b. Orders must be placed directly with Village Grill and Dessert in Ketley.

5. The Prize:
a. One winner will receive a refund equal to the value of their takeaway order, up to a maximum of £45.
b. The refund will be made via bank transfer or PayPal.
c. The prize is non-transferable and no alternative is available.

6. Winner Selection:
a. One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries on Sunday morning, [21st of September 2025].
b. The random selection will be from all valid entries that correctly guess the best-selling menu item. In the event that no entries correctly guess the item, the winner will be selected at random from all valid entries.
c. The winner’s selection is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Winner Notification:
a. The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger from the official TelfordLive page. The winner must reply within 24 hours of first contact to accept the prize and provide the necessary details for verification.
b. Once the prize is accepted, the winner will be asked to provide a screenshot of their original order via WhatsApp to the number provided in the Facebook post for verification. The order number on the screenshot must match the one used for the winning entry.
c. The winner will then be asked for their bank transfer or PayPal details to receive the refund.

8. General:
a. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
b. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
c. Telford-Live.com reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time.
d. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
e. Telford-Live.com accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, or not received for any reason.
f. The winner may be required to take part in publicity and any images used will be for promotional purposes only.
g. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely for the purpose of this competition and in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. Data will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
h. These terms and conditions are governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
