On Sunday 1st March 2026, The Bulls Head Pub in Wrockwardine Wood will be opening its doors for a major community fundraiser. The event is dedicated to raising vital funds for two causes close to the heart of the local community: Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK.The fun starts at 2:00 PM and will run throughout the day and evening. The event is split into two main sessions:
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Family-friendly afternoon activities featuring a variety of local vendors. Attendees can browse stalls selling handmade products such as Roots & Wings Jewellery, homemade bath products from L&G Luxe, 3D printed items from TBear, and unique gifts from Roots & Wing Jewellery, among many others.
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: The evening shifts into high gear with a lively Disco and Karaoke competition, inviting locals to showcase their talents for a good cause.Organisers at The Bulls Head, located at 7 Plough Rd, TF2 7AL, describe the day as more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity for the village to come together to support those in need while keeping the spirit of their historic local pub thriving for future generations.Everyone is welcome to attend and support the raffle and stalls. All proceeds will go directly to helping families face dementia through the work of Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK. No booking required

Birmingham Cty Teddy Bear Run

Get ready for a cuddly cause! 😊 The Teddy Bear Fun Run is coming to Telford Town Park on March 29th, and it’s going to be a blast. Organized by Run The Distance, this charity event is all about raising money for Birmingham Children’s Charity, which supports families in the West Midlands and beyond.
Choose from a 2.5K or 5K route, and don’t forget to bring your favorite teddy bear along for the ride – you can even dress them up if you want! The event is open to all ages, families, and furry friends are welcome too. At the finish line, you’ll score a medal and a mini teddy bear to take home.
But it’s not just about the run – it’s about having fun and supporting a great cause. Justin Klekot, one of the organizers, says, “Birmingham Hospital is a great charity and has done so much for his daughter.” So, grab your teddy, gather your crew, and get ready for a day of fun, friends, and fundraising. Bring a picnic and join in the post-race celebrations!
