Bonmarche is the latest High St casualty

Bonmarche is the latest High St casualty

The clothing chain store which has two shops in Telford and one in Albrighton has entered administration.

The New St, Wellington store is one of the largest in the town centre and one of over 300 stores around the UK, employing around 2000 people.

The stores went into administration back in 2012 and were purchased by investors before being floated on the stock market.

It is hoped a buyer can be found to save the store and the jobs, and the stores remain open and trading for the time being.

When was the last time you bought anything from Bonmarche?

  • I think the problem is all stores nowadays have an online shop which have online exclusives – stop the exclusives get them out on the high street. I have never purchased on Bon Marche website but I do browse and they have some lovely exclusives but with all clothing is the trying it on and I don’t want the hassle of returning the item
