River Severn breeches wall in Ironbridge

These pics taken tonight by Ant Roberts, show the River Severn being held back from the shops and homes on the Wharfage at Ironbridge.

The plastic covered, metal flood defences erected on Sunday by contractors and council staff are holding the power of the river back.

The Severn is set to peak tomorrow at levels not seen for 20 years.
