Telford Debenhams set for closure

Telford Debenhams set for closure

The department store which has been a fixture in Telford Shopping Centre for over 30 years looks set to close.

The business went into administration for the second time in its history, having been founded in the late 1700s, around the same time as the Ironbridge opened for business.

It was busy there this morning as shoppers, released from lockdown were eager to make up for lost time.

Social distancing limits the number of shoppers who can be in the store at any one time, meaning there are often queues to get in.

What was the last thing you bought from Debenhams?
